Frequently Asked Questions
How does the KL Foundation work?
The KL Foundation was established in 2010 to facilitate the funding of creative project ideas of teachers, administrators, parents, students and all members of the community. Projects both large and small will be considered for funding. We encourage everyone with ideas of ways to enrich the educational environment of the Katonah-Lewisboro School district to apply for a grant.
Who decides what projects will be funded?
A subcommittee of the KL Foundation Board will review proposed applications. Final decision on approved grants will be made by the board of directors. All school based proposals will be reviewed by a KL administrator for viability.
How does the KL Foundation obtain funding for projects?
Funding for projects will be raised through donations from all interested parties and grants applied for by the KL Foundation.
